-Hi Thelma Babes, this is Beth. For reference, I typically wear a size 25–26 in jeans and am 5’4”. In this style, I tried on a size 26, which measures approximately 15.5 inches across the waist. There was lots of room in the waist for me in this size. The fit runs large and feels more like a mid-rise. The length hits at the ankles. I would recommend sizing down one to two sizes.
